Join Sylvia Marie for an immersive 4-Day Portrait Painting Workshop dedicated to unlocking the techniques of the Old Masters! In this hands-on, all-levels course, you’ll dive into classical drawing and oil painting methods by recreating William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s iconic Head of a Young Girl. Throughout the workshop, you will: Master Classical Fundamentals: Learn step-by-step techniques for rendering realistic skin tones, luminous light, and soft form transitions in Bouguereau’s distinctive style. Use the Master Grid Method: Set up and apply traditional gridding techniques used by Rembrandt and the Old Masters to achieve accurate proportions. Gain Practical Experience: Work directly from a masterwork to build confidence in color mixing, brushwork, and layering.
