Illuminations: Acrylic Painting

Class description

Do your colors fall flat when you are creating your art? Do your paintings start to become muddy and lose definition? In this class, we will learn how colors interact & how to mix paint to a specific thickness and color. Why do different colors placed together can cause perspective to change and even create a third color? We will learn various painting techniques using brushes of different sizes and shapes. An image will be provided, and each student will begin to understand how to create an original piece of art, using their own insights and abilities. The goal is not necessarily to come away with a finished piece of art, but for participants to gain knowledge and carry this information with them to continue creating original artwork on their own.
