About the event
Join Laura Pritchett, author and director of the nature writing MFA Program at Western Colorado University, for a special session of Impromptu: Experimental Forms in Nature Writing: Check out all the episodic, listical, epistolary, and hermit-crab works out in mainstream publications these days! Don't know what those terms mean? Never fear! That's what this crash course is about. We'll take a look at several innovative and experimental forms of writing - and you'll leave this workshop having generated ideas of your own. Whether you write fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, long form or short, some playful innovation and experimentation is sure to inspire. Just bring a notebook or laptop!
She is the author of 7 novels and her work has appeared in the likes of the New York Times, Orion, The Sun, and High Country News.
