Confluence Studios is the creative project of Carrie L. Kellerby and a dynamic network of artists, writers, and innovative thinkers who believe that art and creative practice make the world a more meaningful place. Artful practices open the door to engaged community involvement by offering a purpose and sense of belonging through the reinforcement of hands-on accomplishment. Additionally, the development of craftsmanship, no matter the medium, engages the whole being, increasing self-confidence, empathy, and emotional intelligence while honing communication skills and self-discipline. Art leads to deeper thinking, and deeper thinking cultivates a more meaningful and intentional community for everyone.
Confluence Studios recognizes creative practices across many disciplines and works to develop a foundation of intentional community through an offering of arts education, craft practice, and opportunities for thoughtful dialogue. The Confluence Studios network is privately-owned but works on a cooperative membership model. Artists, scholars, community leaders, and a variety of groups and businesses who are committed to making the Grand Valley a more actively creative environment are welcome in this supportive laboratory.
Confluence Studios is dedicated to bringing art and community together to build a more vibrant, creative, and sustainable home for all of us in the Grand Valley.
